Abstract

This research studies the personality in the stories of Saleh Matrouh Al-Saeedi and the most important methods followed in drawing and presenting them in his stories, including the first method (Direct) which presents the personality by conveying a complete idea of its psychological, intellectual, and social dimensions as well as the external features of the personality, and the second method (Indirect) in which, the narrator gives the character more freedom to express himself, and all thoughts and emotions that come into his mind, and this is done through conversation; The Al-Saeedi depends on the two methods in presenting his fictional characters to enrich his stories with human evidence, aesthetic goals, expressing their suffering and bad conditions, as well as showing their grievances by revealing the misdeeds of the ruling class.
