Health development indicators and their sustainable prospects in a jurisdiction Al-Hayy and Numaniyah (comparative study)

Abstract

The health index is one of the most important factors that contribute to achieving sustainable development, as it is not possible to achieve development without improving and developing the level of human health, which is the nucleus and goal of development. Due to the importance of health services and their connection, both negatively and positively, with many economic and social development sectors that the state seeks to develop and make available to all members of society, this study comes to discuss the reality of health services in the districts of Al-Hay and Al-Numaniyah, leading to revealing the extent its efficiency and adequacy in relation to the requirements of the population in order to achieve the provision of quality health service. The results of the study showed that there is a clear deficiency in the material and human resources available for health services, which gave negative results for its functional performance towards returning and inpatient patients and its reflection without achieving the degree of satisfaction or ambition for the population. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a health policy based on specific local planning standards aiming to achieve balance in the establishment and distribution of health institutions its workforce is proportionate to the distribution of the population and ensures easy access to services within the time frame and the actual needs of the community.
