Abstract

Abstract:    The most 24 monitoring points on the Levantine side and 27 monitoring points on the Jazira side of Nasiriyah city were identified to measure the temperature and solar radiation as shown in Map (1), and most of the names mentioned in the study tables are labels for real locations on the map, but they are not included in the map. The base map because the base maps are general administrative maps and do not show the names of streets, bridges, markets, and industrial areas. Rather, they show names about the neighborhood in general and not in all details, and to measure solar radiation during the summer and winter seasons, and in particular the months of January for the winter season and July for the season of Summer and to be precise, it was during the days (5, 15, 25) of each month, which are the months of July and January, to measure the solar radiation and temperature in both sides of the city of Nasiriyah, and it was relied on the GPS device of the type (GARMIN) to determine the locations of the points in The study area, as for the temperature measurement, an electronic device (Therm, as well as solar radiation by means of an electronic Solar Power Meter) was used to monitor solar radiation and temperature in both sides of the city of Nasiriyah, which are (Al-Jazirah and Al-Shamiya) and when comparing the results obtained from the field measurement with the average The general minimum and maximum temperatures and the rate of solar radiation, it turns out that the city suffers from thermal rise, but rather it is a heat island, and the (IDW) method was used. To draw maps and project the observing areas on the map and to draw secondary and main heat islands according to the observed temperatures and solar radiation. And although it is considered one of the Iraqi provinces in which temperatures rise at high levels when compared with others, and despite this, it is characterized by the phenomenon of heat island inside it, as shown in the study in detail.
