Trends of poetry criticism in the New Culture Magazine - reading some critical articles

Abstract

    The new culture has witnessed a serious and broad critical movement represented in applied studies and critical theories 'The section devoted to literature and art is hardly devoid of two or more critical articles in the same issue in the field of critical creativity, whether at the level of poetry, story, novel and theater or at the level of cultural criticism, criticism of criticism, theoretical studies and translated critical textsThe literary criticism movement in the magazine was in line with the movement of modern criticism and its methods, methods and contemporary modernist moves that entered Iraq in the fifties of the twentieth century 'The critical scene of the magazine in the fifties was based on the realistic model in the approach to the literary text' but that scene soon changed with the change of ideas of Iraqi intellectuals and writers who enriched the magazine with their critical articles with the return of the magazine to publication in 1969 and the launch of Dr. Salah Khalis the idea of renewal in art and literature. The research at the beginning involves presenting the most important bright names in the journal ، and then talking in some detail about the most prominent critical trends practiced by the writers of the journal 'where the research was limited to trends: historical being the most entrenched trend in the writings of critics' as well as the ideological trend ، and the mythological trend ، and philosophical direction ، although the journal witnessed critical writing according to many trends other than those mentionedIn this chapter, we try to monitor the critical articles that have been published in the issues of the new culture throughout its fifty years of its life, and whether these critical articles rise to an integrated critical movement to be part of the history of literary criticism in Iraq or not?
