Demographic characteristics of people of determination in Wasit Governorate

Abstract

The study aimed to identify the quantitative demographic characteristics represented by the qualitative composition Al-Omari for residents of people of determination due to the availability of official data for them in Wasit Governorate, and to determine the amount of the increase and the change in their numbers, We relied on official data issued by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, the Authority for the Care of People with Disabilities and Special Needs in Wasit Governorate for the years 2016, 2019 and 2023.                                     

The study followed the descriptive analytical approach and used statistical methods in order to show the general increase and change that occurred in the gender and age composition of the population of people of determination in Wasit Governorate I reached out.                                                                           

The study showed an increase in the number of males with disabilities compared to females. The study also showed a noticeable increase in the age group (15-64), the middle-aged group, over the three years.
