Applications of sustainable development in prophetic thought

Abstract

Sustainable development aims to meet the needs and requirements of the present, and although the word sustainable development is modern, we found it present in its content through the philosophy of the works and applications of the Holy Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace. Despite the different eras, sustainable development is based on three main axes, which are the economic axis, which It is concerned with creating a society that feels sufficient, increasing production capacity, and providing job opportunities for its children, which provides a comfortable living, and the social axis is working to improve life and its quality by achieving social justice and reducing disparities. Class and the attempt to reduce poverty by providing social security such as solidarity, as well as the axis that relates to the environment, preserving it from pollutants and reducing consumption to ensure continued benefit from natural resources. The honest and trustworthy Arab Messenger paid attention to these axes, applied them, and urged Muslims to follow them, and this is what we explain through historical narratives that indicate sustainable development.
