Moral Separation and its Relationship with Prejudice Trends among Intermediate Stage Students

Abstract

The current research aims to identify:

1. The level of fanaticism among middle school students.
2. The level of fanaticism among middle school students.
3. Statistically significant differences in the relationship between moral detachment and fanaticism according to the variables of gender (males - females) and specialization (scientific - literary) among middle school students.

A - Gender (males - females).

To achieve the objectives of the current research, the researcher followed the descriptive approach, as the sample size of the current research was chosen using the stratified random method with proportional distribution, as the sample size of the current research amounted to (400) male and female students from the preparatory stage. The researcher relied on tools to measure the research variables, as the researchers relied on the moral separation scale (Ghanem, 2022).

The scale of fanatic tendencies was built according to scientific steps, and after verifying the validity of the scales’ paragraphs, they were applied to the target sample by extracting the psychometric properties of the scales and analyzing their paragraphs statistically, using a set of statistical methods, which are the t-test for one sample, the t-test for two independent samples, the Pearson correlation coefficient, and the Cronbach’s alpha coefficient, and processing them statistically using the SPSS statistical package
