Abstract

          As a result of the job of the holy city of Najaf and its religious importance, it witnessed urban and functional changes, which led to an increase in the number of urban centers and their expansion to meet the needs of society, especially economic ones, which allowed the possibility of easy ownership of the vehicle, which became the absorptive capacity of the streets unable to prepare them increasing and this of course led to events Many changes and violations on the side of traffic accidents, especially on the main street network, the most traffic, which has caused social, economic and human impacts with serious damage to society.

     The research aims to know the meaning of the administrative control from which traffic culture is launched and its importance in supporting the traffic system and its relationship with traffic accidents in the city of Najaf and to put the results in front of the responsible authorities in order to reduce the risks of this modern problem. The research has reached many results, the most important of which are related to traffic culture related to the age and level of the driver, as most drivers do not check the vehicle regularly before driving, and a high percentage of them occupy themselves with different things while driving such as smoking or using a mobile phone and others, as well as The presence of a small number of those who use seat belts while driving, in addition to the continuous increase in the entry of large numbers of vehicles into the country without the existence of planning and transportation policy followed.
