إضطراب إدمان الإنترنت وعلاقته بالعزلة الإجتماعية لدى طلبة الجامعة

Abstract

  The current search is determined by:

1. Internet addiction disorder among university students.
2. Differences in Internet addiction disorder among university students by sex variables (males - females) and academic specialization (scientific - human).
3. Social isolation among university students.
4. Differences in social isolation among university students by sex variables (males - females) and academic specialization (scientific - human).
5. The relationship between Internet addiction disorder and social isolation.    

    In order to achieve the objectives of the research, the Internet Addiction Disorder Scale (24 items) and the Social Isolation Scale (20) items were used and applied to a sample of 200 university students from Mustansiriya University.

        After statistical data processing, the results showed:

1. The research sample is characterized by Internet addiction disorder.
2. There are no statistically significant differences in Internet addiction disorder among male and female university students by sex, while the results of the comparison indicated that there are statistically significant differences in Internet addiction disorder between university students with scientific specialization and their peers with human specialization, and in favor of Human specialization.
3. The research sample is characterized by social isolation.
4. There are no statistical differences between male and female university students in social isolation by sex variable, as the results of the comparison of the specialization variable indicated that there are no statistically significant differences in social isolation between university students with scientific specialization and their peers with human specialization.
5. There is a correlation between Internet addiction disorder and social isolation.         

      The research came up with a number of recommendations and proposals.
