Spatial analysis of the economic and social characteristics of unemployment in Najaf Governorate for the period 2007-2020

Abstract

The problem of unemployment at the moment is one of the main problems facing most of the world and the intractable problems in developing countries, and in Iraq the problem of unemployment is important because of the increasing problems caused by it, as it has produced several problems including poverty, diseases, the spread of crime and drug use... Etc. in addition to not understanding the development plans of the numbers of unemployed youth.

The problem of the study came about how the phenomenon of unemployment varies and its interaction spatially and temporally in najaf province according to its administrative units for the period 2007-2020 and what variables behind this disparity and the hypothesis of the study was that there is a disparity and a clear increase in the volume of unemployment among the administrative units of the province as a result of the high rates of population growth since 2007 to 2020 as well as the weakness of plans Development to address this problem with the economic recession and political and social conditions and the spread of the Corona virus, which contributed significantly to the worsening of the problem of unemployment, and followed the research descriptive and analytical approach using statistical methods and spss program working analysis program facoranalsis.

The study included the study of the economic and social characteristics in Najaf province for the period 2007-2020 and the clarification of the size of unemployment and its composition of the population reality in the province and the extent to which growth has affected the worsening of this problem, the first of which dealt with the theoretical framework and economic characteristics and the second research came to study the social characteristics and its impact on unemployment in the province, while the third research dealt with statistical analysis of the relationship between unemployment and economic and social characteristics in najaf province.
