Geographical distribution of wheat production in wasit governorate

Abstract

    This research focuses on the production of wheat crop in Wasit governorate with the aim of revealing the spatial variation of its cultivation and production and the reality of its geographical distribution. There is a discrepancy in terms of the cultivated area (2010-2021), production and productivity of the wheat crop according to the administrative units of Wasit Governorate. These results came in the light of the available data for the study area. This study has a role in preparing appropriate and necessary development plans and programs to advance the reality of cultivation and production of this important strategic crop and finding ways to develop and upgrade it .
