The present paper aims at finding out the degree of the emotional deprivation for university students in which the population is represented by the university students at morning studies during the academic year (2022-2021) who are averaged (16485) , i.,e., (9805) male and female students from the scientific departments and (6680) from from the human sciences depatments . So, the research sample is (400) students from the university of wasit . After reviewing the previous related studies the researcher whereas a scale for measuring the emotional deprivation which consists of 38 items . The psychometric principles ; validity and reliability . The reliability has been secured by choosing a sample of 40 students using test - retest and Alph Cronpach formula .The data have been analysed using SPSS . The results showed that university students at wasit university suffer from emotional deprivation . Due to the results obtained the researcher has concluded some conclusions and recommendations and suggestions .
