Sociolinguistics Book by Richard A. Hudson(Methodological Approach)

Abstract

Sociolinguistics is one of the most important branches of linguistics in general and has been associated with all other branches of linguistics science. In addition, Sociolinguistics is one of the most important applied linguistic sciences, which is concerned with studying the relationship between language and society. Moreover, Sociolinguistics is one of the most important applied linguistic sciences, which is concerned with studying the relationship between language and society. Sociolinguistics has dealt with many social problems, through linguistic studies that have taken place recently. Among the benefits of sociolinguistics is that there is an inverse relationship between language and society, each of which is based on the other. Likewise, sociolinguistics studies the relationship between language, thought, and culture. These studies did not exist in linguistics before. This article shows the methodology in one of the most important books in sociolinguistics, which is (Dr. Hudson's book on sociolinguistics). The book was of great importance in presenting and addressing the most important sociolinguistic problems. This article included several divisions, as it began with an introduction to sociolinguistics, its origins, and its importance, then an introduction to the topics of the book and the researcher's treatments for them, then the conclusion with the most important results that were reached, then a list of sources and references.
