Abstract

The research includes a study of the geomorphological structure on the possibility of investing roads in the Al-Jabal Al-Abyad region in the governorate of Dohuk using the (GIS) system, as it is limited to two latitudes (36^ْ.50^َ – 37^ْ.10^َ) north and longitudes (42^ْ.30^َ – 43^ْ.0^َ) east and is located north of the city of Dohuk, where it was identified On the site of the White Mountain and the effects of geological times in it, which affected the spatial variance of the geomorphological structure of the region, in addition to the great diversity in the shapes of the earth’s surface and the abundance of its water sources, which contributed to the emergence and development of any economic activity, especially in the construction of roads in mountainous areas, and how to invest them in addition to the high rise The costs of building roads in it due to the ruggedness of the area Therefore, the geomorphological structure in it is represented in the affected areas, where it requires cutting and leveling the surface of the earth and industrial plugs across the flat lands to raise their level because they have sloping basins represented by convex and concave slopes in them.
