The Aesthetic Description and Impact In The Novel Sharoukiya by Shawqi Kareem

Abstract

The novel Shrouqiyya is characterized by its unique style in description and aesthetic depiction, as the author employs language in an artistic manner to create vivid scenes that reflect the depth of emotions and the daily life details of the novel’s characters. The author relied on intensive description that enhances the presence of time and place, and portrays the psychological and social conflicts experienced by the characters. Through aesthetic description, the novel manages to transcend traditional narration to a vivid visual portrayal pulsating with life, offering the reader an exceptional experience that blends contemplation of beauty with a deep understanding of the human and social dimensions of the narrative (Obaid & Al-Bayati, 2008: 279–289).

Due to the richness of aesthetic description and imagery in this novel, we have chosen the title of our study to be “Description and Aesthetic Impact in the Novel Shrouqiyya”, which we divided into an introduction, a theoretical framework, and two main sections. The theoretical framework discusses visual language and how it is used to create aesthetic scenes and images. The first section addresses the fine details, colors, and scents in the novel, while the second section presents the impact of aesthetic description in portraying events and characters.
