The research aims to provide a critical and constructive reading of the specialized history curriculum in both levels of secondary education in Morocco by identifying the main criticisms and challenges, and subsequently proposing a set of alternatives and recommendations. The research problem lies in constructing a general developmental curricular and didactic framework for teaching history, through examining the Moroccan experience and exploring the current state of history education in Morocco.
