Abstract

Geography of Population Generally speaking Interest in the religious tourism  is one  of the forms of the spatial mobility. The research deals with the study of Maysan Governorate, one of the Governorates of Iraq, which contains  sights, , the religious shrines legacies of Islamic, so it was highlighted in this study to the definition of the Governorate through the study of its location, and factors as they arise, as well as the presentation of the possibilities of tourism , and how to use these capabilities for the purposes tourist and then stand on the most important problems experienced by visitors, and give solutions in order to promote and upgrade them to satisfy the needs of visitors and demand for tourism activate it. as well as the study of tourism movement, its size and trends , and then the procedures by which can cause the development of tourism in order to reach the regional development and diversifying the sources of income, and the reduction of of unemployment in the province
