The current research aims to identify:
- Visual memory degree for middle school students
- Significance of differences in visual memory among middle school students according to gender and specialization variables (literary, biological, applied) and grade (fifth, sixth).
To achieve the objectives of the research, the researcher adopted the Vienna Test System produced by Schuhfried (Austrian) to measure the optical memory variable, and after confirming the validity of the optical memory test through the indicators of honesty and consistency, the researcher applied the tool to the students of the preparatory stage of the number of (100) students, and after the data was collected and processed statistically and using the T-test for one sample, and analysis of variance, the researcher reached several results, including:
- Students in the preparatory stage enjoy a normal level of visual memory.
There are no statistically significant differences in visual memory according to the variable of specialization (literary - biological - applied) grade (fifth - sixth). There are statistically significant differences in visual memory according to the gender variable (male - female).
In light of the findings, the researcher recommended a set of conclusions, recommendations and proposals for future research
