Spatial analysis of soil properties for the Badra Jassan Water Project in Wasit Governorate using GIS

The research study dealt with the spatial analysis of soil properties for the Badra Jassan Water Project in Wasit Governorate using geographic information systems. By selecting (6) samples distributed in the study area, and their soil was chemically and physically analyzed for the first (summer) and second (winter) seasons for the period (2020-2021). The results showed a discrepancy in the qualitative characteristics of the soil of the study area due to its different locations. Its soil is characterized as a sandy mixture. The percentage of the electrical conductivity value ranged between (7.11-3.76) ds.m-1 for the first season and (6.90-4.17) ds.m-1 for the season. Second, the dissolved solids ranged between (2328-1494) ppm for the first season and (2154-1056) ppm for the second season, while copper ranged between (13.42)ppm (14.85)ppm for the first season, and for the second season it ranged between (8.44) ) ppm and (7.29) ppm, and zinc values ranged between (0.40) ppm and (0.24) ppm for the first season, while for the second season, its value ranged between (0.24) ppm (0.76) ppm, and as for iron, its value ranged between (0.35) ppm and ( 0.22) ppm, while the second season recorded the highest value (0.45) and the lowest value (0.21) ppm, while the nitrogen ion recorded the highest value (35.42) ppm for the first season and (31.88) ppm for the second season in the sample (S6) for both seasons And the lowest value of the ready nitrogen ion was 12.08 ppm for the first season and (8.40) ppm for the second season, and it was found that the value of the cadmium ion in the study area is very low for the elements In the other, it recorded the highest value of (0.05) ppm for the first season and (0.04) ppm for the second season as shown in Figure (20), and the cadmium ion recorded the lowest value of (0.01) ppm. The highest value of the ion was (56.59)ppm for the first season and (192.1)ppm for the second season. As for the minimum value of the ion, it was recorded (27.52)ppm for the first season and (37.5)ppm, the highest value of calcium was (989.90)ppm for the first (summer) season, as for the second season (winter) its highest value was (1293) ppm in the sample (S2), while the lowest values ranged between (506.6) ppm and (526) ppm in the second season, the highest value of calcium carbonate in the first season is (27.20)%. The second season was (39.3)%, and it recorded the lowest value for the first season (15.20)%, while the second season recorded (28.9)%, the highest value of the prepared phosphorous ion is (33.54) mg/kg for the first season in the first sample, while the second season was ( (71.18) mg/kg and the lowest value for the season) as it was (10.32) mg/kg. As for the second season, it recorded (23.61) mg/kg. We note that the organic materials for the first season ranged between the highest The value was (1.85)% and the lowest value was (0.7%, while the second season was the highest value was (2.84)% and the lowest value was (0.91)
