Abstract

The Egyptians believed in immortality and the second life. They believed in the past that immortality belongs to the king. Kings are gods on earth and in the sky, and it is possible that some people who are sympathetic to the kings will have immortality because they will form a retinue for the king in the second world as they formed a kingdom on earth, then immortality here is not limited to the pharaohs only Rather, it includes the general members of the ancient Egyptian people, so it became one of the most important tasks of man in his life to prepare his eternal home in which he enjoys eternity. Thus, it became necessary for the deceased, first of all, to eat and drink, for his other life depended on that, just as his first life depended on those essential matters for the continuation of life, without which he suffers from the pain of hunger and burning thirst. On the other hand, the deceased needed to be presented to his family Everything he needs after his burial. As for the well-to-do deceased, they were, before their death, instructing the priests to make the necessary sacrifices for them, or for the family of the deceased to assign the priests to do so.
