Belgian’s Policy Towards Congo & Its Impact On The Country’s Internal Situation (1958-1962)

The Congo is characterized by an important geographical and strategic location ,which made it vulnerable to the attention of the colonial countries , especially Belgium, which in turn tried in several ways to extend its political control and take over its economic capabilities.
Tribal tendencies among the peoples groups, on the other hand , the national movement grew, which had a role in obtaining independence and distracting Belgian colonialism, but it was initially bewildered by civil war and the secession of the Katanga region
