Abstract

          The Theft of the teenagers is considered as one of the most important problems which the society in Wasit governorate suffers from as it represents a threat to the society and safety of society as it includes the young which is represents the largest age group in the study area. It is also an obstacle to achieve human development goals which allows this group the right to food, clothing and the right to education.

        The research is obvious through the variation of the numbers of the teenager perpetrators of the crime of theft according to the characteristics represented by the monthly income level of the family, the family house and the role of the social characteristics represented by the level of education and the family size in the study area. The study illustrates the importance and the effect of the economic, social, and psychological factors as well as the effect of the security situation and the role of the modern means of communication on the committing the robberies by the teenager
