Abstract
The spread of government, independent and partisan media as a result of political change in Iraq has increased public interest in promoting and shaping new trends among Iraqis. The problem of this research is the extent to which the public has been exposed to media editing and saturation.
Research Methodology and Methodology: The methodology used in this research is descriptive approach survey study. The research community is represented by a sample of the population of Wasit Governorate, specifically the city of Al Kout with a random sample of 100 stages, detailed later in the methodological framework.
The results of the search were as follows: The difference between the results of the viewer's due to the large number of television channels and the differences in their programs. The results of the different responses of the respondents in the extent of meeting their news needs were expressed by the Iraqi TV channels. The Iraqi TV channels focused their coverage of news on editing on human subjects before the ground and security. And stability in liberated areas.
Conclusions: The researcher noted that the Iraqi public are exposed to the themes of editing within the family social context as well as the most satisfying to the public is to watch the editing topics in the Iraqi television channels.
Recommendations: The researcher recommends giving more geographic coverage areas to the media to contribute to the creation of a process of interaction between the viewers and television channels.
