Abstract

The historical references, especially royal writings, and the writings of classical historians, played an important role in explaining the image of the architecture of the city of Babylon in new-Babylonian period(627-539 B.C) under Chaldean authority, because the city suffered from the destruction and disappearance of many of its architectural features, especially below the groundwater level.
