Abstract

        The aim of the research is to identify the educational causes of the phenomenon of divorce in Misurata from the viewpoint of faculty members and students at the Faculties of Arts and Education at the University of Misrata, and to answer the research questions the researchers used the descriptive approach, and the researchers relied on the questionnaire to collect data and equipment prepared by them consisting of "49" paragraphs distributed on Four areas: Reasons related to the family, Reasons related to married couples themselves, Reasons related to the educational process, Reasons related to media and technology, and after extracting the validity and stability of the tool, it was applied to the research sample and the research sample reached (131) of them (24) members of the faculty (107) male and female students from the faculties of Arts and Education, and the two researchers used statistical methods to analyze the data represented in the Alpha Cronbach equation, iterations and percentages, and the results of the research found that the educational reasons that were behind the existence of divorce were in the field of the first and second with a rate of 69.6% From the viewpoint of the faculty members, as for the degree of the impact of educational reasons on divorce from the viewpoint of faculty members, it was in the first and fourth fields with a rate of “60.9%” The educational aspect of divorce and the degree of its effect from the students' point of view came in unrealized proportions in all of its paragraphs, and in light of these results the two researchers recommended:

• Educating the members of society about the danger of this phenomenon through various media outlets and through educational lectures and seminars.
• Creating social service centers for reform between spouses, to be performed by qualified members.
