The treatise of Tadbeer Al-Mutawahid by the Andalusian philosopher Ibn Baja is one of his most prominent philosophical works, as it came as a summary of his entire philosophical output. The subject of the thesis discusses the classic philosophical question: How does a wise man live his life?
The topic revolves around the ethics of the philosopher or the pattern of existence that should be followed in non-virtuous cities, where the philosopher presents a philosophical theory under the name of (Tadbeer Al-Mutawahid) concerned with drawing the parameters of circumstantial ethics based on the teleological moral targeting. This theory is based on a realistic vision that simulates the lived reality as it actually exists.
