Abstract

  The world is witnessing a continuous development and a comprehensive scientific renaissance in various fields of life, as it is the era of rapid changes and developments, so there is a great responsibility on educational institutions to keep pace with the characteristics of this era and its future challenges, and for education to give its qualitative fruits in the formation of a generation armed with the knowledge and skills necessary to keep pace with modernity and development that Our age is witnessing today, and the practice of arts is one of the means of artistic and creative expression, and it is a source of emotional pleasure and cognitive stimulation. Through art, liberation from the tensions in the minds of students and freedom of expression arises. Thus emerges the need to build the foundations of artistic and applied theory to teach the subject of handicrafts established in the Faculty of Arts / Department of Art Education in order to develop imagination, innovation and artistic creativity among the students of the department. Therefore, the researcher chose the subject of handicrafts to reveal the extent of its effectiveness and its relationship to imagination and innovation, thus highlighting the importance of the research marked (the relationship of imagination and innovation to materials in the handicrafts of students of the art education department), which included four chapters The first chapter deals with the research problem, its importance and its goal: to achieve the goal of the research, the research community is formed D which consists of the students 'outputs for the fourth stage of the Department of Art Education, the handicrafts, which number (42), and a sample consisting of (4) samples was selected as a sample of the students' work to reveal the imagination and innovation in the materials in those works. As for the research results that the researcher has reached, they are: - That it is possible Employing imagination, innovation and materials in developing the artistic taste of students of the Art Education Department because of their ability to decipher the forms that make up the artistic work and arrive at how to read it and interpret the work as a whole, and based on the conclusions reached by the researcher, he recommends the following: - The interest of educational institutions related to the material of works. Handmade - Providing supplies, materials, materials and workshops, paying attention to the skills of learners, and holding exhibitions for the purpose of encouragement.
