The Spatial Change and Growth of Stillbirths in Iraq

This study focuses on stillbirths in Iraq (excluding the Kurdistan Region) and how their numbers changed in different provinces. Stillbirths are divided into two types: those that happen before birth and those that happen during birth. The study also looks at the number of male and female stillbirths By using statistics,.
the research shows how the numbers changed each year and how big the were changes. The results show that the total number of stillbirths was highest in2016 compared to 2019 and 2023. It was also found that stillbirths before birth in increased 2016 and 2019, while in 2023, more stillbirths happened during birth. Also, stillbirths among boys were more common than among girls.
The study recommends that the Ministry of Health and other responsible groups should work together to improve healthcare for pregnant women. This includes better care during and after delivery, especially in the provinces where stillbirths happen more often.
