Abstract

      The phenomenon of linguistic substitution of phenomena that received the attention of linguists of the ancients and modernists there were books on the substitution, and some of them addressed in the author or pointed to it, has tried to study the reality of this phenomenon by reference to the words of linguists ancient and modern and then take models of the words phenomenon Of the works of Abu Jaafar al-Libli (d. 691 e) divided them into two parts: the first to replace the letters converging and the second to replace the identical letters. And then study the historical approach by reference to the historical accounts and the descriptive method using the laws of sound to reach an explanation that fits the change in the words of this phenomenon.
