Delving into any critical study of a poet’s poetry requires a number of keys that the critic must possess in order to open the doors of the caves of those poems. Yes, they are similar to Ali Baba’s caves, which can only be opened with the presence of a password, and this password is only owned by the collector critic. cash terms. There are many, such as talent, high culture, and knowledge of poetic achievement, and other factors that make the critical reading process successful.
Also, studying any poetic achievement of any poet requires extensive knowledge and knowledge of his literary output, which will undoubtedly constitute the first starting point for entering into the adventure of criticism.
In this site of the study, we will study the words of the sky, which are one of the manifestations of nature in the texts of the Iraqi poet Yahya al-Samawi, whose poetic personality was formed through a magical mixture that combined the sweetness and purity of the countryside, the beauty of the city and its multiple rituals. It is known only to those who have tasted the taste of Barhi and inhaled the fragrance of the marshes.
We have in our hands three collections that will be the poetic material studied in this article, which is (a few.. not many of them, extinguish me with your fire, a river with three banks), which will accompany us throughout the study, and it was chosen from among a large number of his collections, according to the most prominent features, that it Diverse experiences, as they are multiple and did not stop at one experience, and this will give us a great opportunity to reveal the diversity in them.
It also represented the stages of the development of the language of his poetic text, as they are collections distributed on the most prominent poetic stages in his literary career, so through them we can give indications about the development of his language and its poetic performance.
The research seeks to answer a number of important questions:
- Have the words of heaven given new dimensions to the poet’s culture? So that we can actually say about her, that she was able to influence his culture, maturity, depth, and expanded the circle of his poetic imagination?
- Did the poet use the words of the sky in their lexical reference form, or was he able to use them as a mask to conceal his connotations and purposes?
- Was al-Samawi able to distinguish himself from other poets while using the words of heaven, or did he proceed according to the perceptions presented by his predecessors or from the same generation and did not bring anything new?
This is a set of questions that we seem to have to answer and follow during the analysis, and it is at the heart of our critical work.
