Abstract

This study aims at shedding light on the fashion, clothes and ornaments worn by the Achaemenid women. The study focused on the sources from which we derived our information about these costumes: inscriptions, drawings on walls and stone tablets, and monetary coins. We looked at the type of these costumes and divided them into: headwear (crowns, shawls), unclothed cloaks, general robe, and shoes that were worn, and introduced the most important Achaemenian women perfumed with perfumed oils, kohl, and types of powders, Ornaments.
