The Ghadir incident is not the only historical document in the era of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) that stipulates his guardianship and succession to the Islamic nation after the Messenger of God (may God bless him and his family), but it is the most important and famous document among the important historical incidents in the history of Islam, and perhaps we find fewer events that match the Ghadir incident in terms of seriousness, number of narrations, and credibility of documents. As for the Ghadir Hadith, it was narrated mainly by hadith scholars, and therefore it is known in the books of hadith and virtues, but it was banned by many historians and biographers. These historians narrated the journey of the Messenger of God to the Farewell Pilgrimage in detail and from house to house and the return from this journey that was between the Prophet of Islam and ten thousand Muslims from Mecca to Medina without mentioning this incident as if no incident had occurred on the way. Among these historians who were highlighted is the historian al-Tabari, who, although he reported historical issues and incidents in detail and in many ways in his history, but contrary to expectations, he did not reflect the Ghadir incident in detail in his great historical book, the History of al-Tabari, and this is the important question in that and perhaps the answer to this question Al-Tabari wrote an independent book about this incident to prove the guardianship of Ali (peace be upon him) and called it The Guardianship in the Paths of the Hadith of Ghadir, and he began his talk with a talk about the virtues of Ali bin Abi Talib (peace be upon him), and mentioned the etiquette of the Hadith of Ghadir. It seems that Al-Tabari's book was used by scholars in the eighth century AH, and it was narrated by a group of Sunni and Shiite historians such as Al-Marukh Ibn Kathir, Yaqut Al-Hamawi, and Al-Dhahabi, and by Shiite scholars such as Al-Tusi, Al-Najashi, and others
