Situational interest among postgraduate students

The research aims to identify: Situational interest among postgraduate students from the university of Basrah. To achieve the research objectives , the researchers selected a sample of (400) undergraduate students from the university of Basrah.To achieve the research objectives, the researchers adopted the Situational interest Scale by Linnenbrink & Garcia (2010), which consists of (17) items, The scale was applied to the research sample, and after conducting statistical analyses and extracting the validity and reliability statistical analyses and extracting the validity and reliability values of the scale, the results showed that the students of postgraduate students have a good level of Situational interest. There were no statistically significant difference according to sex and specialization and stage variables in Situational interest among postgraduate students. In light of this, the researchers presented a set of recommendations and suggestions.
