Cartographic representation of the climatic water balance in Wasit Governorate

Abstract

The climatic water balance is a realistic indicator of the water deficit and surplus values ​​in the study area, as there are correlations between the relevant climatic characteristics and the water balance amounts. The study relied on the Ivanov, Najib Kharoufa and Penman Monteith models to extract the balance values. After arriving at the results of the water deficit and its percentage, the researcher sought to represent both the relevant climatic characteristics and the water balance amounts cartographically for both the hot and cold seasons in the study stations.
