چکیده

Widowhood phenomenon consider one from essential social problems , It spreads in societies where there is war and disease as well as deterioration of economic, social and health situation , particularly in Arabic communities which can only lead to more negative repercussions and outcomes not only on a widow and her children , but on all the family and community equally.
This research aims to explore woman widowhood in Ammarah city during 2020 , and demographic and socio-economic characteristics for widow women, this research used field study and found out many results included high mortality of men ate the age more than 40 years , high individuals number, low income level, low educational level, unavailability of suitable housing and lack of employment opportunities, In the other hand , the current research has shown variety of reasons behind the rising in widowhood phenomenon and know most important health and socio-economic impacts associated with women widowhood
