A Multimodal Discourse Analysis of the Iraqi 2021 Parliamentary Election on the BBC Internet Platform

تمثل الانتخابات البرلمانية العراقية لعام 2021 احدى نقاط التحول في الحياة السياسية حيث يتم فيها انتخاب حكومة جديدة تقود البلاد بعد موجات عارمة من المظاهرات احتجاجا على الفساد الإداري ونقص الخدمات الذي كان يشوب الحكومة السابقة ، فضلا عن فشل الأحزاب السياسية باتخاذ اجراءات من شأنها كبح جماح ذلك الفساد . كان هدف للك المظاهرات هو تخليص البلاد من الفساد وتوفير الخدمات وذلك من خلال الانتخابات المبكرة التي تتيح لمرشحين مستقلين الحصول على مقاعد في البرلمان قد تمكنهم من تعديل بعض القوانين وبالتالي تشريع قوانين انتخابية جديدة . تحاول الدراسة الحالية تسليط الضوء على ذلك الموضوع من خلال توظيف اثنين من نماذج التحليل وهي : النموذج السيميائي البصري – الاجتماعي ل (كريس وفان لوين ، 2006) ونموذج بدنارك ، (2006 ) لتحليل بعض من صور يوم الاقتراع ، فضلا عن تقييم الأخبار المتناقلة عبر منصة اذاعة البي بي سي الإلكترونية . أظهرت النتائج التي توصلت اليها الدراسة الحالية الى امكانية أن تنعكس الجوانب ليوم الاقتراع في الأنماط البصرية (المنظورة) فضلا عن تلك المرتبطة.
