تناقش الدراسة الحالية تحليلًا بلاغيًا للمناظرات الرئاسية التي دارت بين ترامب وبايدن، حيث تركز على استكشاف الاستراتيجيات الخطابية المختلفة التي يستخدمها المرشحون للفوز بالانتخابات السياسية. تهدف الدراسة إلى تحليل المناظرات لمعرفة الاستراتيجيات البلاغية التي يحاول السياسيون من خلالها تبرير أفكارهم وإقناع جمهورهم بحملاتهم الانتخابية. تعتمد الدراسة على المنهج النوعي من خلال تطبيق استراتيجيات كوربيت (1965) كإطار أساسي للتحليل. تظهر النتائج أن المرشحين يستخدموا استراتيجيات بلاغية مختلفة لإقناع الناس بخططهم السياسية. استخدموا السخرية كأداة للإقناع بأن المنافس غير مؤهل لقيادة البلاد وبالتالي تعزيز فرصة الفوز في الانتخابات.
