نجحت سارة روهل في مسرحيتها " البيت النظيف" بعكس التأثيرات العاطفية والنفسية لمصاعب الحياة من خلال الجمع بين الوافقعية السحرية والفكاهة والرمزية المؤثرةز وبأستخدام الطقوس تعكس روهل موضوعات الحب, الخسارة, الالم, والبحث عن الهوية. وعن طريق تفاعلات الشخصيات وحواراتها, تحاول كاتبة المسرحية ان تعكس الطقوس كألية للتكيف ووسيلة للشفاء. وذلك لتجربتها لانواع مختلفة من الالام مثل الخسارة والهجر والسرطان وعواقبه, وتظهر روهل كيف ان القوى البشرية للتقبل والتحمل ومشاركة التجارب وتأثير عواقبها تقدم وجهة نظر حول كيفية التعامل مع آلام المرء وايجاد الراحة في المعاناة والتواصل مع الاخرين.
