Internal migration and its effects in Iraq

The study aimed to identify internal migration and its effects in Iraq through extracting an average Net migration using the national growth rate method, relying on data from the Ministry of Planning and Institutions Its affiliates adopted the population censuses for the years 1977, 1978 and 1997 and the population estimates for the years2007 and 2017. The study followed the descriptive analytical approach, and the data was processed using the Excel program.
The study found that net migration rates varied from yea r to year, recording eight
Governorates from which migration occurred for the period 1977-1978 and 1978-1997, reducing to six governorates For the period 1997-2007, it increased again to seven governorates that recorded internal migration for the period 2007-2017
