استهدف البحث الحالي التعرف على مستوى حيوية الضمير لدى رجال المرور وكذلك التعرف على الفروق الفردية في حيوية الضمير وفقا ل الرتبة ( ضابط ، مفوض ) التحصيل الدراسي (متوسطة ، اعدادية ، بكالوريوس فما فوق ) وكذلك سنوات الخدمة من ( 1-10 )، (11-20 ) ، (21 فما فوق ). وقد قام الباحث بإعداد مقياس حيوية الضمير القائم بمضمونه النفسي على نظرية (Costa&MCcrea1992) . مكون من (36) فقرة موزعة على (6) مجالات هي ( الكفاءة – التنظيم – التحسس بالواجب – الكفاح من اجل الانجاز – الانضباط الذاتي – التروي ) وببدائل اجابة خماسية كما مر انفا . وكانت العينة مكونة من (300) رجل مرور ( ضابط ، مفوض )من مديرية مرور محافظة واسط (91 ضابط ، 209 مفوض ) وباستخدام الوسائل الاحصائية الاختبار التائي وبيرسون والانحراف المعياري وتبين ان عينة البحث لديهم حيوية الضمير بمستوى مرتفع . وكذلك ليس هناك فرق دال إحصائيا في حيوية الضمير تبعا لمتغير الرتبة ، وليس هناك فرق دال احصائيا في حيوية الضمير تبعل لمتغير الخدمة ، وهناك فرق دال احصائيا لحيوية الضمير تبعا لمتغير التحصيل
