Abstract

          The research seeks to focus on the peculiarities of comparative studies, its definition and concept, and the positives and negatives of the curricula of international schools of comparative literature and explained it according to the concept of the American School and its difference with French in their methodology, and on the best and latest methodologies in this field, and focus on the concepts of the American School and its scientists. And to identify its advantages and differentiation from other international schools of comparative literature, and find out the differences and differences of these schools. In addition to identifying local, regional and international experiences in the fields of comparative studies. And how to benefit from these experiences in serving Arab literature and what is reflected through it on our Arab societies, to advance and develop comparative literature in Arab and Iraqi universities, for new knowledge structures to emerge in this field, and to diagnose the most important causes of the delay in comparative literature in the Arab world in general and in Iraq in particular.
