The current research aims to identify the degree of strategic planning according to (Goodstein, Nolan and Pfeiffer model) and its relationship to risk management, due to the gender variable (male, female), specialization (scientific, human), the research community consisted of (487) teachers and teachers, and the sample (400) teachers and schools he appointed consisted of (400) teachers and schools, and as for the research tools, the researcher built a scale for strategic planning consisting of 63 items, after making sure of its psychometric properties, and the second for risk management consisted of (45) ) A paragraph and the psychometric properties were confirmed and ready for application. The researcher used the descriptive correlative survey method to reach the required information that was processed by many statistical means. In light of that information, the following results were reached:
1- High school principals have good strategic planning.
2- The researcher concluded that the humanitarian specialization is more capable of facing risk management. Recommendations: The researcher recommends
1- The need to follow strategic planning to create the school environment in accordance with educational specifications and standards when establishing secondary schools
2- The necessity of preparing flexible educational plans to keep pace with the quantitative increase in the number of students.
The researcher suggests conducting some studies in the field of strategic planning and risk management in secondary schools.
1- Conducting a similar study on samples from primary and intermediate schools.
2- Conducting a comparative study between strategic planning in public secondary schools and private schools.
