Author Guidelines

Publication Guidelines – Journal of the College of Education  (JCE)

Important Note:
All submitted papers are subject to plagiarism detection using Turnitin software, and the similarity index must not exceed 20%.

  1. The title of the research paper, along with the author's name, academic title, scientific specialization, affiliation, and email address (preferably an institutional email), must be written on a separate page in both Arabic and English.

  2. The journal accepts original and unpublished manuscripts in both Arabic and English.

  3. Manuscripts should be typed on A4 paper using the following formatting:

    • Simplified Arabic, size 14 for the main body (Arabic papers)

    • Simplified Arabic, size 12 for footnotes or endnotes

    • For English papers, use Times New Roman font

    • The manuscript should not exceed 20 pages; additional charges apply for longer submissions.

  4. All papers will be reviewed by qualified academic experts inside and outside Iraq. Authors are required to make all suggested revisions before receiving a letter of acceptance.

  5. Authors are required to pay a submission fee of 100,000 Iraqi Dinars. An official receipt will be issued, as the journal operates under a self-financing system.

  6. Submitted manuscripts will not be returned to the authors, whether accepted or rejected.

  7. Authors are required to purchase at least one copy of the journal issue in which their article is published.

  8. The submission fee is non-refundable, even if the paper is rejected by reviewers.

  9. The views and opinions expressed in the published articles are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of the journal.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • Titles were provided for references in an Intra-Documentation Method (APA) method.
  • The text is single-spaced; 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • Writes the title of the research, the name of the researcher, his title, his scientific specialization and his place of work.
  • The research should contain: The title of the research in Arabic and English and a Abstract in both Arabic and English in one page up to (200) words.
  • The research summary should include keywords on the major specialization of the two languages and a brief biography of the researcher or researchers.
  • Payment of subscription fees of (100,000) Iraqi dinars is required for researchers from inside Iraq and (100) US dollars for researchers outside Iraq.
