Climatic analysis of the concentration of daily rainfall in Iraq

Abstract

It was found from the study that the heavy rain means the amount of rain that fell during a specific time period, which may be an hour or a day, and that the amount of rain that fell during a specific time period is not the same in two neighboring regions and is based on the records of meteorological stations, and is calculated from the beginning of rain until it stops  Rainfall, and the study was carried out based on (13) stations for the months (January, February, November and December) for the period from (2009-2019) according to the periods of rain concentration.  Its frequency decreased in the central and southern regions, in contrast to the northern regions, it continues with its frequency despite its fewness compared to light rain. Erbil station recorded the highest frequency of light rain during January during the first period, while Mosul station topped the highest frequency of heavy rain.
