Abstract

The human soul does not tire and does not get bored with searching for partners in hope and pain, partners in the joy and the tears, even if it is in the echo of the sad poetry. The poet Faliha Hassan carved sad letters in addressing the self-emanating from the human flow.

Sadness has taken over Faliha Hassan, the human, the poet, and the woman, where death was a lifeline that nourished the healthy heart. The harsh years of war overshadowed on her autobiography, which she wrote with all its contradictions, bitterness, sweetness, and sorrows. Najaf city had a share, as it is the eternal lover of Faliha, that heart spot where life and death overlap, for it is the seed of the beginning and the eye of the end.

Faliha Hassan's poetry has a distinct literary character, it’s has a different flavour of sadness, which was manifested in the letters of her words and the rivers of her tears, she was the one who played a sad melody matchless in the lyre of feminist poetry.
