Moral Integrity Among Adults Considering The COVID-19 Pandemic

Abstract

The current research aims to identify:

1- Moral integrity among adults.

2- The significance of the differences in moral integrity among adults according to the two variables:

      A- Age (20-25), (30-35), (40-45) years.

      B - Gender (male - female).

The research community consisted of adults of ages (20-25), (30-35), (40-45) years old, and the research sample amounted to (300) students and teachers from Al-Mustansiriya University., and it relied on the theory and scale of Link and Kiel (Lennick & Kiel, 2005), as integrity was considered one of the dimensions Moral intelligence and defines it (as translating the behaviors and practices of individuals to the moral and ethical values in the work environment and the publicity of the procedures and goals within the organization) (Lennick & Kiel, 2005) The scale includes (16) items with five alternatives. The psychometric properties were extracted from the apparent validity and the construction validity. As for the theatres, they were extracted using the stability method by repetition, and it amounted to (0.83) and by the Cronbach method it reached (0.87), which is good stability

The research reached the following results:

1- The members of the research sample (the adults) enjoy moral integrity.

2- Moral integrity develops with age.

3- There are no statistically significant differences between gender (male - female). Considering the results, the research came out with a set of recommendations and suggestions.
