Evaluation of the supervisory role of the specialist supervisor of social studies in middle schools from the point of view of the subject teacher

Abstract

1.Search target

  The current research aims to evaluate the supervisory role of the specialist supervisor of the social subject from the point of view of the teachers of the subject, where the paragraphs related to the supervisory role of the specialist supervisor were formulated with a questionnaire to be answered by male and female teachers of the social subject, the aim of the research was to answer the following questions:

1.What is the level of the supervisory role of the specialist supervisory of the social studies subject from the point of view of the subject teachers in developing their teaching competencies?

2.Are there statistically significant differences at the level of (0,05%) between male and female social studies teachers answers due to the variable of gender and years of experience or service?

2.The research community and its sample:

The current research community consisted of all the male and female teachers of social studies for the intermediate stage in the center of the city of Kut for the academic year (2023/2024) and their number was (263),while the research sample was chosen by the random stratified method with a rate of (20%) from the community, and thus the sample reached (53) different in terms of gender,years of service or experience.

3.The most important findings of the research:

A.There was a clear weakness and decline in supervisory role of the specialist supervisor of the social studies subject in developing the teaching competencies of the subject teachers in the intermediate stage.

B.There are no statistically significant differences at the level of (0,05%) male and female teachers answers due to the gender variable.

C.There are statistically significant differences at the level of (0,05%) between the answers of male and female teachers due to the variable of years of service or experience.
