Abstract

Research aims to identify thinking Styles prevailing among university students, and to identify differences according to the variables: sex, and specialization courses. The sample consists of (128) students, the rate of (64) males & (64) Females and both Specialization study (science and humanity) equally. Been used for a list of ways of thinking Sternberg (Sternberg), were verified Psychometric characteristics. And used statistical tools: (Pearson correlation coefficient, analysis of variance, research found the following results: 1. Students (total sample) had a (Profile) of thinking Styles and not just one method. 2. Students (total sample): different methods to have the rule, the rule was thinking techniques (external, hierarchical, legislative, liberal, minority) on the thinking Styles (internal, global, chaotic, conservative, local), respectively. 3. Students (total sample) have a rule of style and one of each category of thinking Styles of the five (functions, forms, levels, industry, and trends), we find that the students (total sample) there was to have a method outside of the area, and the hierarchy of forms, and legislative functions , and liberal tendencies, and global levels. 4. There are significant differences in the ways of thinking (legislative, and estoppels, and liberal, and conservative, and hierarchy, and internal) for males, and in my style of thinking (chaotic, and external) in favor of females. 5. There are significant differences in the thinking Styles (estoppels) in favor of scientific specialization, and in two styles of thinking (global, liberal) for the benefit of humanity.
